Fresh perspective, systemic foresight, and values-led governance

I’m an emerging Non-Executive Director motivated to bring clarity, empathy, and imagination into the boardroom. With a career spanning FMCG brand management, strategic consulting, and sustainability education, I offer directors and leadership teams a grounded, plausible future perspective.

The value I can bring the boardroom

Strategic Foresight & Systems Thinking

I bring a plausible future lens shaped by systems thinking and strategic foresight, helping boards consider how global shifts will impact organisational resilience.

Brand, Marketing & Communications Expertise

With 12 years of leading iconic Australian brands and 9 years advising CEOs and leadership teams, I bring a deep understanding of diverse markets, building and shaping reputation, and delivering to consumer expectations.

Real-World Sustainability & ESG Literacy

I translate complex sustainability and ESG issues into practical risks and opportunities. This helps boards move beyond compliance and avoid greenwashing, while strengthening accountability and building resilience.

Governance & Leadership

Drawing on experience as a facilitator, strategic advisor, and now NED, I foster constructive dialogue and balance competing stakeholder needs with clarity and empathy.

Values-Led Decision Making

I champion ethical, stakeholder-centred approaches that align purpose with performance, with a commitment to acting with integrity and creating value the world needs.

Governance Experience & Credentials

Australian Institute of Food Science and Technology (AIFST)

Non-Executive Director – 2024 to current
Member – Finance, Audit & Risk Committee

✔️ Graduate & current member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors
✔️ Current member of Women on Boards
✔️ Ongoing commitment to professional learning and contribution in the director community

Diversity of Perspective

I bring lived experience that broadens boardroom thinking and strengthens decision-making:

Socio-economic diversity

We were never a well-off family and often had periods of struggle. I was the first in my family to attend university, and I supported myself through study while working part-time. This experience means I bring a grounded perspective on financial realities and resilience.

Understanding of ‘middle Australia’

Educated in the public school system and raised in the outer suburbs, I understand the values, concerns, and everyday experiences of mainstream Australians — the employees, customers, and communities at the heart of many organisations.

Adaptability & people skills

I moved a lot with my father’s work (not the Army… retail!), so I attended six schools across two different states (QLD and VIC). This meant I developed the ability to adapt quickly, read people and environments, and navigate diverse social contexts.

Entrepreneurial insight

As the founder of my own small business, I bring practical appreciation of limited resources, innovation under constraint, and the resilience required to adapt and grow.

Sectors of Interest

I am particularly motivated to contribute to boards in:

Food (food security, food system resilience)

Climate, environment, nature conservation

Community development, social enterprises

Care (mental health, vulnerable identities)

Boardroom Education & Facilitation

Beyond governance, I also support boards and leadership teams through tailored climate crisis and biodiversity literacy sessions. Building this literacy is essential for blinkers-off risk identification and mitigation, enabling leaders to make informed decisions for plausible futures (not greenwashed futures).

Let’s Connect

If your board is seeking a fresh strategic perspective, systemic foresight, and a touch of imagination, I’d welcome a conversation.

I pay my humble respects to all Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples as the first inhabitants of the nation and recognise that sovereignty was never ceded. I acknowledge the Melukerdee people of tahunè-linah (Huon River) and the Lyluequonny people of the Far South, the Traditional Custodians of the lands where we live, learn and work in beautiful Lutruwita/Tasmania, Australia. I extend my respect to all palawa/pakana People throughout the state and recognise that it always was, always will be, Aboriginal land.
